Lubbock Birth Doula
A DOULA is essentially a birth coach and encouraging companion to give you the best birthing experience possible with continuous support - both physically and emotionally.
A DOULA ASSISTS WITH:
education about your options in your place of birth and childbirth before labor begins
a birth plan that suits your preferences
knowledge when you need it regarding best practices, nutrition, etc.. during pregnant, child labor & birth, breast feeding, etc…
Advocacy when needed for the birthing mama, the birth partner, and/or the baby(ies)
Laboring positions, massage, and pressure points to relieve pressure
teaching your birth partner to best support you during the birth (this is my favorite thing to do)

Elise - A Certified Dona Doula Since 2018
I went to my certifying courses in Colorado and trained under the best doulas in the industry after almost 3 years as a birth photographer! I knew that birth photography would be scarce in Indonesia, so it made sense to take the next step in birth work as doula to help support and educate. I had the opportunity to teach birthing classes alongside a local midwife in Indonesia in my second language, and I have attended well over 30 births as a doula here in the states. I have attended several VBACs, twin births, birth center births, hospital births, and home births. I fully believe that the “right” place for you is where you are most comfortable and empowered, so wherever that is, I am prepared to support you there.

Free in-person consultation
Birth plan development and prenatal visit
Accessibility for any concerns in pregnancy
Accompany you to your 37 week check-up
Education (if requested) regarding childbirth
On call at 38 weeks
Continuous support once needed during the onset of active labor
Breastfeeding support
Post-partum visit & debrief birth
